With the Baltimore Ravens enjoying Week #8 of the NFL in a ‘bye” mode, it afforded this Ravens fan an opportunity to watch two  teams that many Ravens fans love to hate:  the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington football team.   It was a joy watching the Oakland Raiders, sparked by a 93-yard touchdown run by quarterback Terrell Pryor, defeat the Steelers, 21-18.  The loss left the Steelers in sole possession of last place with a 2 win, 5 loss record.  Meanwhile in the mile high city of Denver, Colorado, the Washington football club jumped to a 21 to 7 lead, only to surrender 38 unanswered points to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.  Denver trounced Washington, 45-21.  With the Cleveland Browns losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, 23-17, the Ravens take over sole possession of second place in the AFC North division.  The day would have been perfect if the New York Jets could have been more competitive with the Cincinnati Bengals.  It was not to be, as the Bengals bombed the Jets, 49-9, giving the Bengals a 2 1/2 game lead over the Ravens.  Overall, it was a good weekend to be a Ravens fan.
