TV One recently announced plans to premiere “12 Years A Slave: A TV One Special with Cathy Hughes,” a one hour program featuring an hour-long discussion with director Steve McQueen and cast members Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lupita Nyong’o and Alfre Woodard. The special will air Saturday, November 9, at 7 PM/ET exclusively on TV One. ”12 Years a Slave,” navigates through the harrowing journey of a free man unlawfully forced into captivity

12 Years A Slave has debuted at select film festivals in the U.S. and Canada and opened in limited U.S. release October 18, 2013.
