The Thalians, the entertainment industry’s leading nonprofit organization, held its 56th annual gala at the House of Blues in Hollywood, honoring music legend, Smokey Robinson.
Smokey Robinson (74), a multiple Grammy Award winner was honored with the “Mr. Wonderful” award for his lifetime acts of philanthropy. The event raised over $1 million for UCLA’s Operation Mend.

He said, “That’s not what I think about myself, I’m blessed, very blessed; it’s ironic or funny to me that people give me awards for doing what I love.
