There was more than high fashion on display during last weeks Met Gala hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Drunk in Love duo entered an elevator along with Beyonce’s baby sister Solange and thats when all hell broke loose. After the elevator doors shut, Solange lauched a verbal and physical assault on Jay-Z which included kicking, punching, and slapping. Beyonce stood aside and seemingly had no reaction to the event occuring in front of her. She can even be seen helping her sister put her shoe back on in the video below. Her husband did not strike back but he did attempt to hold and restrain his sister-in-law during the altercation. The only saving grace in this smackdown was Beyonce’s bodyguard who not only helped subdue Solange, but he also hit the emergency stop button on the elevator in order to avoid public humilation for the power couple. Lets hope the Queen B gives him a raise, gets Solange a punching bag, and bandages up Blue Ivy’s father.
With Beyonce and Jay-Z’s summer “On The Run” tour selling out all over the country, one can only hope that they resolve these affairs before round 2 comes to a city near you.
