Since Empire’s highly anticipated season finale airs tonight at 8pm on Fox, I thought I’d post this #CelebritySelfie with comedian and actress Mo’Nique. The public feud between Mo’Nique and director, Lee Daniels saddens me. They are both incredible talents and obviously make magic together. I wish they would just kiss and make up, already! There are too few African Americans with real power and influence in Hollywood for the two of them to be at odds. We will probably never know all the details that lead to the rift between the two. And, we all know there are three sides to every story. My advice to Mo’Nique would be to swallow her pride, make that call, and make things right; even if she believes she did no wrong. A lot of amazingly talented people end up broke because of one little word–ego.
