Janelle Monae and her Wondaland family are making sure you never forget the victims of police brutality with their new single, “Hell You Talmbout.”
During the “Eephus Tour,” Jidenna, Roman GianArthur, and the rest of the crew kept their ears and feet to the streets, with rallies and marches honoring the men and women of color who’ve lost their lives in police killings. This week, the group marched in Philadelphia and took to the streets of New York on Thursday to reveal their new single.
In the six-minute track, each artist chants the names of Eric Garner, Aiyana Stanley Jones, Sandra Bland and many more. The powerful song was also performed in New York by Janelle, Jidenna, and the rest of the artists in front of the 42nd Street police precinct yesterday.
