Is It Over? Trump Loses Iowa Caucas

“Let me first say, to God be the glory,” Ted Cruz told supporters at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. The winner of the Iowa Caucas upset projected front runner Donald Trump.  “Tonight is a victory for the grass roots. … Iowa has sent notice that the Republican nominee and the next president of the United States will not be chosen by the media…but will be chosen by the most incredible powerful force, where all the sovereignty resides — by we the people” said Cruz. Trump lacked a true get-out-the-vote operation in Iowa. Indeed, he never seemed fully committed to the state, visiting only sporadically and very rarely engaging with residents. He heads to New Hampshire with a wide lead in the polls there. NY Times

Child Body Found In Street Ejected From Car Crash

Dorothy Wright, 75, and her two grandchildren, Layla and 12-year-old Cameron, were heading to First Peter AME Church at about 9:15 a.m. last Sunday when they were blindsided by a man suspected of stealing a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban from the Westin hotel in College Park. Police said the 6-year-old girl wasn’t initially reported as a victim in a fatal Sunday morning police chase and crash because she was completely ejected from the vehicle. The drive of the stolen Suburban fled the scene and has not been apprehended. Police chased him from College Park to southwest Atlanta. Layla was found heavily covered with shrubbery near the crash allegedly triggered by a man fleeing College Park police.The high-speed chase ended on South Gordon Street and Rogers Avenue, when the 1995 Buick LeSabre that Wright was driving flipped over on impact. AJC
