Like many hip-hop fans, Atlanta traffic reporter Mark Arum of WSB-TV was saddened to hear that Phife of A Tribe Called Quest had died at age 45 from complications of diabetes. But he had the platform for a pretty unique way to pay tribute to the fallen rap icon. Arum used his morning traffic report to weave in some ATCQ lyrics and he did so in a pretty ingenious way.

WSB-TV’s Facebook page was flooded with positive comments from fans who appreciated Arum’s nod to the greatness of Phife’s lyrics. And although some who listened in may have wondered about the new style of reporting, Arum and his fellow reporters made an ordinary traffic report sound pretty good.
