Black people are behind the societal curve and it is largely due to us adhering to us being the only ones buying into the, so called, cultural value system. We should all be humble before God. However, it does not serve black children to think low of themselves and to be meek when their counterparts are taught that they are great and they are worthy. While arrogance is unacceptable, every black child should “suffer” from high self-esteem. It’s the only way they will effectively compete in this world.
