Flood You! Firefighter Floods Baseball Field After Truck Hit By Ball
THE BUZZ!
A Cal Ripken League baseball game in Montgomery County got canceled. Not by rain, but by a firefighter with a grudge. It seems during batting practice, a fly ball was hit out of the park and hit a pickup at the Silver Spring Fire Station nearby. And it looks like someone did not appreciate that. Because witnesses say later a fire truck rolled out the station and pulled up to the stadium field and then just started letting it rain. Yup! they let the water just pour onto the field – flooding it, on purpose.
So much that the game had to be cancelled. That upset a lot of players and families who travelled to the game.
The Montgomery County Fire did apologize. And Park Police are investigating the incident. As for the mad firefighter, no word yet on discipline.
It’s all fun and games until you hit my truck with a baseball… then.
