All weekend Magic has been paying tribute to silky soul singers which has been great. I remember seeing Donny Hathaway perform in D.C. I believe it was 1977 or 78. I had no idea it was truly a special moment until I reflect back. Sunday 1-13-13 marks the anniversary of his death he left us 1-13-79. Let’s take a moment to remember Donny Hathaway and sing along.
Teddy Pendegrass left us also on 1-13-2010 when I first met him I called him Harold Melvin because he was the front man for Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes. The last time I saw his show he was in Dover Downs Md. he was in a wheel chair but he sounded good. But who can forget how he sold out for ladies only concerts in the early 80’s
