Tuesday morning in Baltimore was all bout Purple Pride and The Baltimore Ravens Victory Parade. Faced with traffic jams, areas of grid locks and barricades my team and I were determined to make the festive victory celebration. From beginning to end the energy was heighten. Car loads of people wearing Raven gear, waving, horns blowing and there were people chanting the Ravens song.
I experienced an amazing feeling for the first time in Baltimore … commonality, and with that came a sense of strong unity and Baltimore pride. Thanks to the home team’s super bowl victory, we all connected on the level of being world champions.
As we walked the parade route to our finale destination my team and I, Big Mel and wife Donna, Dave, Quinn and Donna were fortunate to be in the numbers of the 70,000 people who filed into M&T Bank Stadium. Crowds were amped up even after the gates closed at the stadium, resulting in people climbing the gates for an inside look at The Baltimore Ravens, Super Bowl XLVII Champions. After the victory ceremony inside a tale gate party awaited on the outside. The sea of purple pride was endless and will be celebrated for sometime here in Baltimore.
