The first non-European Pope to ever be elected, born to Italian parents and raised in Latin America, Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina celebrates his insulation at the conclave as Pope. He will lead more than 1 million Catholics worldwide. The 76-year-old, cardinal introduced to the world on the balcony of St Peter’s Basilica as Pope Francis I.
