On Wednesday, June 26, 2013, all broadway theatres (in New York City) will dim the lights at exactly 8pm for one minute in honor of the late actor James Gandolfini, best known for his portrayal of mob boss Tony Soprano on the iconic HBO series, “The Sopranos“.  Prior to his role on HBO, Gandolfini appeared on Broadway in “A Streetcar Named Desire” in 1992,  and in ‘On The Waterfront” in 1995.   Most recently in 2009, he earned a Tony Award nomination in the Broadway play “God of Carnage“.   His funeral is set to be held at Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York City on Thursday, June 27th.
