PEOPLE is reporting that troubled, pro baller Lamar Odom has checked himself into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. A source says, “He realized he needs help.”
Apparently Odom is facing reality and dealing with the situation because it’s affected his marriage. Odom was arrested fora DUI late last week.
Odom, 32, is a past abuser of drugs who has violated NBA drug policies twice in eight months back in 2001. He spoke of his marijuana use in 2003 and said, “I just couldn’t control myself in L.A. … the lifestyle that I was living and the things I had access to.”
Lamar’s father struggled with heroin addiction, and Lamar said once that he thought he was “fighting my father’s demons.”
