Dear Tom,

My name is Willie Harrington.   I am currently a fourth year medical student at Boonshoft School of medicine in Dayton, Ohio, though I did my undergraduate work at Morehouse college, followed by cancer research at Morehouse school of medicine before starting medical school.

As a standard for all med students during our fourth year we must participate in residency interviews for our specialty of choice for our continual education in residency the next academic year.   What comes with these interviews, is constant travel to the many programs which we apply, some times more than 30 programs.

I am asking for a Christmas wish of assistance with my travels during this time with interview season beginning soon, October 2015.  The cost will be near $2000.00 in travels fees for airline tickets and hotel.

My wife and I just had our first baby—a little girl— 8 days ago.

She is currently on maternity leave and is the only one bringing home rotating income, as my funds are mainly received via student loans.  I wish not to take out additional loans for travel and in addition do not want to burden my wife even more.

As far as my specialty of choice it has been narrowed down to psychiatry, internal medicine or both, as they are leading needs in our community.   I would be more than appreciative if you could assist us with this portion of my matriculation and keep me from having to increase my loan debt.
