Premiere Of Lionsgate's 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' - Arrivals

Jennifer Lawrence’s future with the X-Men movie franchise may be in jeopardy. The Hunger Games star spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her future plans with the Fox series. She’s not sure if she wants to come back and she might not be the only one that feels that way.

“Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking,” she says, “Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back, if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.”

Lawrence has seen her star rise considerably from the time she originally signed the deal. Those opportunities may be affecting where she wants to spend her time.

“I would love to come back,” says Lawrence. “I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest.”

The newest X-Men movie, Apocalypse, currently holds a Metacritic rating of 51%. Variety said “the latest entry in one of the more reliable comic-book franchises around, this time disappointingly succumbing to an exhausting case of been-there-done-that-itis.”
