So this one is drama filled with scandal. Ok, so one woman in Thailand has a relationship with nine monk. It ends up with them getting kicked out of the monkhood and her being arrested.
What happened? Allegedly, this woman in her mid-30s was out here seducing senior monks, getting into sexual relationships, then flipping it and demanding big money to keep things quiet.And we’re not talking pocket change—police say her bank accounts pulled in around 385 million baht (that’s roughly $11.9 million U.S.) over the last three years.
When police searched her phone, they found tens of thousands of photos and videos, plus chat logs showing intimate convos with several monks—enough for some serious blackmail.
Now here’s the thing—monks take a vow of celibacy, and in this particular sect, they’re not even allowed to touch a woman. So yeah… this story shocked a lotta people.
Now these monks have been disrobed and kicked out. And she was arrested faces charges of extortion, money laundering and receiving stolen goods.
