After a truly forgettable weekend that saw the Baltimore Orioles drop 3 straight games to the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto, the O’s returned home to the friendly confines of Oriole Park at Camden Yards to open a 4 game series against the Cleveland Indians. Hoping to reverse their recent losing ways, the Orioles jumped to a 2-0 lead, courtesy of solo home runs by Nick Markakis and Matt Wieters. Unfortunately, the Birds surrendered 5 unanswered runs, creating a 3-run deficit that they couldn’t overcome, resulting in a 5-2 loss to the Indians, their fourth loss in a row.
