According to Producer Will Packer publicist, Staci R. Collins Jackson, Packer closed a two-year overall deal with Universal Television, The deal marks Packer’s first overall television deal.
Packer, 39, producer credits includes hits like “Think Like A Man,” “Takers,” “Obsessed” and “Stomp the Yard” — which all opened #1 at the box office.
Bela Bajaria, Executive Vice-President, Universal TV said, “We are excited to work with Will. We have been impressed by his keen eye on the feature side with the several hit movies he’s produced. We are looking forward to bringing his enthusiasm and expertise into television.”
Will Packer will debut four films in 2014: Universal’s “Ride Along” starring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and John Leguizamo (January 17, 2014), “About Last Night” starring Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, Regina Hall and Paula Patton (February 14, 2014), “No Good Deed” starring Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson (April 25, 2014) and the highly-anticipated sequel, “Think Like A Man Too” (June 20, 2014).
