According to TVLine the title role of the Lifetime TV/Whitney Houston project will go to Yaya DaCosta . The made for TV film will chronicle Houston’s volatile relationship with her husband singer-songwriter Bobby Brown.
Angela Bassett will directthe movie from a script penned by Shem Bitterman.
DaCosta, who came to us via “America’s Next Top Model,” has gone on to secure recurring roles on such shows as “All My Children,” “Ugly Betty” and “House.” And is coming off a role in “Lee Daniel’s The Butler.”
