My Yorkie Achilles is 6 years old.  In dog years, he’s reached is &%$! it 40’s so I decided to give him a mid-life crisis do.

At first glance it may appear that Achilles’ hair is dyed blue.  Dyeing your pet’s hair is a bad idea.  Hair dyes are made for humans and the toxins in them are harmful to animals.  Ask your professional groomer about the chalking technique.  Non-toxic, washable, color accents can be added to your pet’s hair without putting your furry friend at risk.   The color lasts anywhere from 1 to 6 days.

WARNING:  If you have a nervous pet, you should avoid chalking (or any unnecessary grooming process) as it may be psychologically damaging to your pet.  After all, doggy “style” is for the owner’s satisfaction and not the pet.  In all things, keep your pet’s best interest at heart.
