Sorry Bobby. The biopic of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown will air tomorrow over daddy’s objections. The former New Edition singer went to court to block the movie which he says falsely depicts him as an abusive husband and a horrible father But the judge Analisa Torres refused and said that Bobby Brown hasn’t even seen the film yet so he cant be sure how it portrays him The judge also read an excerpt from his own autobiography Every Little Step written by who? Bobby Brown in which he says he smacked his ex wife Whitney Houston. “I turned around to her, drew back my hand, and smacked her (Houston) across the face”, he wrote.
TV One (which is owned by the same company as Radio One) issued a statement saying “the court rejected a motion for a preliminary injunction filed by Bobby Brown and the Estate of Bobbi Kristina Brown that sought to enjoin the network’s airing of the original movie, Bobbi Kristina. We are pleased with the court’s ruling and look forward to sharing this poignant look at the life of Bobbi Kristina Brown with our audience, Sunday, Oct. 8.”
We all remember the tragedy of little Bobbi’s death on January 31, 2015, when like her mom she was found face down in a bathtub. At the hospital, doctors put her into a medically-induced coma. Although the family was hoping she’d pull through, she died six months later in a hospice. Her autopsy revealed she died of Lobar pneumonia caused by the combination of water immersion and drug intoxication. However, the “cause,” whether it was accidental or homicidal, still hasn’t been determined. But the uncanny similarity between Whitney and her daughter’s death has caused speculation. Both Whitney and Bobbi had a similar cocktail of cocaine, alcohol, and marijuana. Although Whitney’s death was ruled an “accident,” the copy-cat passing of her daughter has many questioning if there’s foul play involved. Both mom and daughter were found with bruises on their bodies only deepening the mystery surrounding their tragic deaths which was a loss for all of us. Follow me on Instagram @JazD1.
