After numerous reports that the Xscape singer and rapper were reconciling and that Tiny had moved back into the home they shared, it looks like the divorce is indeed moving forward. Following Tiny Tameka Harris’s original filing in December 2016, it seemed that the two had worked things out. They were spotted out in public. and T.I. wooed her with a $10,000 weekend date filled with romance, candlelight dinners, flowers and her favorite champagne which had us all cheering for the triumph of love. Well, not so fast, it seems as things have taken a change once again, and this time the split could be definite.
Recent legal paperwork reportedly indicates that the divorce is back on and in full effect.
According to Bossip, the couple went to court and instead of a dismissal of the divorce case, the couple mutually agreed to have the court issue a time extension for them to work out the details of the legal process. They were reportedly given a November 8 consent order, which gave them more time to continue their case and get on the same page in terms of support, debts, property and custody of their children. And it’s getting nasty. Tiny said they’d been living separately, and that the pair has been paying taxes on separate mega-mansions a few towns away from each other for at least a year.
Tiny’s petition asked for T.I. to make a full accounting of their money, property and investment accounts because she said she is entitled to half of everything. The singer turned reality star also asked for half of the automobiles they amassed during their union as well as money T.I. has in a retirement account.
Tiny claims the couple is in debt – likely the millions they owe to the IRS – and argued that because of T.I.’s high earning ability, he should be responsible for paying it off, according to the divorce docs. T.I. is countersuing but there are no details available because the court agreed to seal the case.
While social media has been buzzing about a T.I. and Tiny reunion, they, in fact, haven’t been spotted together in months. Tiny skipped out on Tip’s birthday party in September and he’s been M.I.A. at her recent Xscape tour dates.
Tiny initially cited “irreconcilable differences” in her late 2016 filing, further adding there was absolutely no hope for reconciliation.
Tiny is singing Understanding on tour but sadly the couple couldn’t make those lyrics a reality and now my girl will probably be rockin Who Can I Run To once again.
Aw I so wanted them to save their seven plus year marriage. The two have three adorable children together and are co-parenting six.
