FBI Investigating Hanging Of Black Man Whose Family Sued Alabama Police For Brutality
Here’s a story that has a lot of intrigue and what ifs.
Dennoriss Richardson, a 39-year-old black man, recently passed away under some seriously suspicious circumstances. His family is heartbroken, and are seeking some transparency, so they wrote to the FBi for assistance.
Here’s the deal: Richardson sued the Sheffield, Alabama police earlier this year, claiming they assaulted him during a 5 day jail stay. Things got even tenser when he was arrested again on drug charges, but according to his wife, Leigh Ann, the cops offered a shady deal: drop the lawsuit, and the charges disappear. He said NOPE!
Dennoriss Richardson’s body was still hanging by a rope at an abandoned house in Colbert County, Alabama when it was found in early October. The County ruled his death a suicide due to depression. However, his wife and mother denied the claims. They believe he would not have left his five children behind.
Now the Feds are on the case and hopefully they can find out the truth about what really happened.
