Leaving Neverland portrays Michael Jackson as a pedophile and sexual abuser. The documentary, which debuted at Sundance earlier this year, premiered on HBO last night and sent #BlackTwitter into a frenzy with incredulous fans.
Wade Robinson and James Safechuck accused the beloved entertainer of molesting them while they were 7 and 10-years-old. Robinson and Safechuck revealed heartbreaking details about their alleged time with MJ at the controversial Neverland Ranch.
Their shocking allegations sent social media awry and polarized critics and fans, leaving them debating if the documentary was self-serving and a plot to extort money out of the MJ estate.
Jackie, Tito and Marlon denied the accusations against their brother during an interview with Gayle King on CBS.
“I know Michael. I’m the oldest brother. I know my brother. I know what he stood for, what he was all about, bringing the world together, making kids happy,” they said.
It seems like the public agrees with the brothers. According to critics of the documentary, there are no receipts or evidence, besides pictures, to validate their claims.
Here’s what they’re saying:

HBO should be ashamed to air such a one sided and totally biased portrait. Too much of the story don't add up and after some quick research about the families this is laughable... Jackson estate better sue HBO if possible #LeavingNeverland

#leavingneverland I watched this with an open mind. I didn't want to believe it, but wanted to hear their side, and read what documents/testimonials/court paperwork others had. I still do not find anything to convince me MJ did what he is being accused of. pic.twitter.com/CNwjjWqBkU

Who knew that if you created a one-sided doc based on shock value and recycled false claims people would believe you. The main reason this doc exists is because defamation laws do not apply to the dead. This is a slap in the face to real victims of sexual abuse. #leavingneverland

It’s very important to believe sexual assault victims but NOTHING about this hot ass mess of a documentary makes sense. A lawsuit should be in place. #LeavingNeverland pic.twitter.com/KhW4Kmz5TF

So Wade said MJ put his hands on his head and his hair felt like Brillo. Rasict bullsh*t aside he didn't feel the balloon MJ had to have inserted under his scalp to stretch it in order to help them remove the scare tissue from his Pepsi burn? #LeavingNeverland pic.twitter.com/huL5rGjuBr

#LeavingNeverland may be one of the biggest buckets of bullshit I have ever witnessed in my life. A boring, sappy, indescribably inaccurate documentary rife with contradictions and moronic statements.

Calling this a "mockumentary" is an insult to mockumentaries. #MJInnocent

Last month Elvis Presley received an all star tribute to his life and career on NBC. All while his history of drugging & sleeping with underage girls was well known. There is and will never be a documentary on him like the one about MJ tonight #LeavingNeverland

This flimsy piece of shit #LeavingNeverland documentary is so flimsy. HBO and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. Go get Roman Polanski or Woody Allen. You know, the guys that actually are pedos and still alive

The only thing that this "documentary" proves to me is that the name Michael Jackson is still interesting enough to generate loads of money.

Michael Jackson was under FBI surveillance for well over a decade. They found NOTHING to substantiate claims of child abuse. He was also fully exonerated following his '05 trial. #LeavingNeverland fails to highlight these FACTS - and MJ is no longer here to defend himself.
