Why can’t a woman take a compliment from another woman?
More so because it is common for Women to hate on one another then to actually compliment and build each other!!!
Because here in Baltimore, being nice to someone for no reason makes people nervous. If I hold a door they look at me like I am about to start harassing them.
Because deep down we do not trust the sisterhood or that the compliment is genuine-sad! I get the same response when I compliment a woman dress or hair- it is like-why are you being so nice?
It’s pride and ignorance. I compliment all the time and have no problem doing so but others won’t they may think it but trust they won’t say it. Smh.
Black women in particular are always like this. Sad but true. We hate on each other so much we forget how to be genuine to each other.
