Fish Recall As FDA Sets Highest Risk Level
There’s a serious fish recall going on that you need to know about. North Fish USA has just issued a major recall for their Cold Smoked Capelin due to a possible life-threatening bacteria called Clostridium botulinum.
Even though no one has gotten sick yet, the FDA is taking this super seriously and has issued a Class I recall – the most serious kind. This means there’s a good chance eating this fish could make you really, really sick.
If you’ve got any of this Cold Smoked Capelin hanging around your fridge, toss it out immediately. Don’t even think about tasting it, no matter how good it smells. Return it to the store for a refund.
Botulism, the illness caused by this bacteria, is no joke. It can cause all sorts of nasty symptoms like muscle weakness, blurry vision, and even trouble breathing.
Yeah that’s not worth it. When the fish is too fishy, you can’t trust it.
