Super Dad: Delivers New Baby On Side of The Highway.

Dad delivers daughter on side of Cape Cod highway, cuts umbilical cord in Dunkin’ parking lot: ‘Like every Massachusetts father’
Rebecca and Danya, a Massachusetts couple was on their way to the hospital to give birth to their baby girl. But before they could get there, Mom’s water broke and this little girl was ready to make an early entrance. Talk about an early surprise. The Dad said he reached down between his wife’s legs, and, sure enough, he felt the top of his daughter’s head.” So thinking quickly he pulled over and went in to action. And with no medical training he delivered their daughter “Summer” in the passenger seat of their car behind some bushes on the the side of the highway.
Being that they were still some ways away from the hospital, they drove to a nearby Dunkin Donuts parking lot to wait for first responders. And that’s where Dad cut his daughter’s umbilical cord with a sterilized X-Acto knife.
Mom and newborn where taken to the hospital and are both doing well.
But as a Dad I know he feels great to be able to pull that off. What a blessing, what a story, and what a way to come into the world.
